作为语言迁移研究的一个新视角,概念迁移研究着眼于从概念层面来审视更为广泛的语言迁移现象,给现有研究带来了新思路。本文基于Jarvis,Pavkenlo和Odlin等学者对于概念迁移的引介,回顾和总结了国内外概念迁移相关研究,并指出当前研究的可取之处和有待改进的地方,以期为今后的研究提供新思路。 Conceptual transfer, as a newly-introduced perspective for understanding language transfer, aims to explore comprehensive language transfer from the conceptual level and suggests a different way of understanding such language phenomenon. This paper starts with the introduction of conceptual transfer to the field of SLA by Jarivs, Pavlenko and Odlin, follows with a review and critical comments of major relevant studies both in China and other countries, concludes with some suggestions for future research to enrich the existing literature.

概念迁移国内外研究典例述评<sup> </sup>
早在“概念迁移”被提出之前,已有学者(如: [

] )含蓄地表达了语言迁移可追溯到概念层次的思想;从实践上看也有不少研究触及了概念层次的语言迁移现象。然而,这些思想和研究一直没有得到重视,直到后来在概念研究法和双语研究法取得的基本研究成果的推动下,一些学者才明确承认“母语可以从语言与认知的接口处影响二语” [

] 。从这一角度出发,一些学者(如: [

] )首先是使用了“基于概念的迁移(concept-based transfer)”、“基于概念的影响(concept-based influence)”等说法。1998年,Aneta Pavlenko 在其向美国应用语言学会西雅图年会递交的论文“SLA and Acculturation: Conceptual Transfer in L2 Learners’ Narratives”中首次使用了“conceptual transfer”这一术语。同年,Scott H. Jarvis出版了“Conceptual Transfer in the Interlingual Lexicon”一书,“conceptual transfer”首次出现在研究语言迁移的专著中。概念迁移被正式提出和采用后,它所代表的一个语言迁移研究新视角基本确立。

] 从语言相对论出发,认为概念迁移会同时影响源语言和目的语的理解和产出,因此将概念迁移定义为“the hypothesized influence of language on thought, and such influence might affect either comprehension or production of the previous language and a second (or a third a fourth, etc.) language”。Jarvis & Pavlenko [

] 更加全面地阐述了概念迁移假说的方向性:“CTH is a hypothesis that conceptual transfer mainly denotes the influence of thinking from one language on another language, including from mother tongue on the L2, the reverse influence and lateral transfer”。
