Abstract:
In recent years, the deficits in interference control have been proposed as the core symptom for many developmental disorders, such as the Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and the Stroop tests were the most widely used tools in the assessment of interference control. This paper summarized the related findings in ADHD and Stroop effect research by literature study. It summarized that: the research re- sults are inconsistent across researches. The different edition of Stroop test tools, the different method of the interference calculating may account for the controversial conclusions. By now, there were still big argu- ments of whether the Stroop test can be taken as a tool to distinguish ADHD from Normal Group and whether Stroop effect can reflect the inhibition deficit in ADHD. It suggested that the using of multiple tool and the research on ADHD’s subtypes were recommended and stressed.
